Originally built by N.Z Rail in the 1940's when money didn't seem to come into the equation and they certainly built rail carriages solid. Lots of native timber including a Kauri tongue and groove ceiling. There's the original flip over seats at the dining table. One could even imagine your riding in the presidents private car, only the scenery is stationary. While endeavouring to maintain all the original charm and character there are still all the modern conveniences you require in a self contained chalet. A separate toilet, shower and basin vanity. A kitchenette comprising of a sink bench, a fridge, a toaster and jug, a large electric frypan, a microwave, and of course all the cutlery, glasses, and plates you'll ever need - with a range of suitable dishes to experiment your microwave skills on.
